We stayed here on the last week of our honeymoon in September 2017. It was a lovely cottage with everything you need for a great stay. The owner was lovely and the cottage is truly dog friendly. We arrived from Soiuth Uist in the dark on a Saturday night. What a surprise when I woke up to take the dog out. It was a lovely sunny sunday morning and I walked into a beautiful back garden. Not ony that but the little gate in the back garden led right onto the beach. Gorgeous. My little dog Tedi was in his glory. Port Charlotte is an astoundingly beutiful little Islay village and a great base to visit the rest of the Island. So glad we chose here (by chance). We will be back again and again. This is not a critisism, but one thing we found strange is you get charged for electricity (Old School). This was not very much and seemed as bit of a bother. It would probably be better if the owners just added this to the overall price of the cottage to save any trouble. It was very reasonably priced anyway and would not put us off coming again if this was added to the overall cost.
