We stayed at Bridge house for four nights as part of our visit to Scotland and our only regret is that we didn't have longer to explore the area. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we could have wished for, so I would definitely recommend to others. Being our first visit to Islay during an Indian summer, we did not spend much time in the flat but were always happy to return at night and sit and relax. Valerie and David thought of everything (especially grateful for the laminated OS maps). The flat was well kept and immaculately clean (thank you to the caretaker for this). Port Charlotte is a lovely village for exploring with bikes for hire just a few doors down and a bus stop less than 2 minutes away. There are two great pubs serving exceptional food in the village, a local shop with a cash machine and a cafe with one of the best views you will find anywhere at the other end of the village. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be back and next time for longer. Thank you to Valerie and David for sharing your holiday flat and we look forward to staying with you again in the future.|

We stayed at bridge house for one week in may and could have stayed for a month as we felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The house was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. As the weather was'nt very good we spent quiet a bit of time in the house and could find not fault it at all.We will go back to see if we can get better weather and then it would be perfect. Many thanks to David and Valerie.

We stayed at Bridge House for 2 weeks and could thoroughly recommend the cottage. It is clean, warm and dry, well-appointed, and in a super location in the centre of the village. Everything we needed was to be found in the flat, and the caretaker lives locally and is very helpful. The neighbours were quiet and friendly, and all-in-all we had a fantastic time in Port Charlotte - not least because of the accommodation. We hope to be back!

My husband and I stayed at Bridge House for a week in late Februday and the flat and the areas more than lived up to our expectations. The flat is warm and comfortable and the store cupboard of useful items was really helpful. We always think buying whole packs of everyday items is a nuisance.
If you like seasood DO ask Willy at the pub to make you a seafood supper. You have to book a couple of days in advance but you won't be disappointed. We thought the hotel food was lacklustre but both the pub and the hotel are welcoming and the people delightful.
We were overawed by the wildlife and will certainly want to revisit Islay and Bridge House again. Thank you David and Valerie so much

I found Bridge House comfortable convenient and very well and thoughtfully fitted out. I slept very well and the accommodation further enhanced a very enjoyable stay on Islay.
I have recommended the property very strongly to others and would certainly return for another stay.

We spent a week at the Bridge House and had a terrific holiday. The Bridge House is very comfortable, well equipped, in an ideal location and hopefully we would be lucky enough to make arrangements to stay there again in any future visits to Islay.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Bridge House for anyone who wishes superior accomodation when visiting Islay.

We recently stayed in Bridge House Holiday Apartment and were very impressed with the comfortable accommodation, location, facilities, cleanliness and the warm welcome we received on arrival. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Islay.
